Oedipus The King

Oedipus the king is written by Sophocles. Oedipus is a story of a man fighting his fate but he lost. Fate is inevitable and he is unable to fight his fate. Oedipus the king married his mother because he didn't know about who his parents were. He was the most unfortunate person in the history of mankind. He not only got married to his mother but also killed his own father. According to me, he was also a little ignorant about knowing his past so that is why he has the consequences of losing his mother and killing his father. He at end made himself blind and felt into the darkest whole of reality. I didn't like the story that much, its because its disgusting to get married to your mother who gave birth to you. Even though it was unintentional he still killed his father and married his mother. That is the worst part of the reason I don't like this story.

A Poem Dedicated to All of You!!!

Being Human

Md Ahsan Habib
I, we, us
You, they, and them
We are
We are all the same
About color about race
Under the skin
We are
We are all human being
Give respect to get it
About the differences
Leave it
Live together in peace
We live in one world
Is not it
So why fight
Is not right
One against the other
A win for neither
It's nothing you do not know
Yet hold hands together
And let's go

The Yellow-Wallpaper !!! Post 2 !!!

The Yellow-Wallpaper, the title itself is catchy. When I at first heard of the title, it was somehow obvious to know what the story is about, as the title suggests, it was about a  big paper in the wall that is yellow. I thought, this story is going to be about art. I thought that someone would try to figure out the true meaning of that Wallpaper. After reading the story, I have realized that it is not exactly what I thought but somehow related to my presumptions. It explains the suffering of a woman for not being able to free and express herself to the full extent. It explains the domination of males over females. It demonstrates that the women felt locked inside that creepy wallpaper and that wallpaper helped her to express her real feelings and share it to the whole world. It's a turning point for females that they should be free as equal as male. I liked the story because, it is very detailed and easy to understand. I would definitely tell a friend to read it because many of them may still feel the way the narrator was feeling.

THANK YOU

Cathedral !!! Post 1

When I heard the word Cathedral I already knew that it means church. I knew it because, in high school I read a book called "The Hunchback of The Notre Dame". That book introduced me to what a Cathedral is. Before reading the story, I thought that this book will be all about Church. I thought either it is a story of building of a church or there will be a story about church and religion. When I got to read the story, I didn't like the narration of the story or how the story is narrated. I felt bored but also interested me because I was searching for what is going to happen to the blind man and the wife of the narrator. In the end, I realized that this whole story is about how the narrator's  prospective about life changes through a bind man. Yes, it's a book that teaches you a lesson somehow and I would recommend it to my friends to read it and to enjoy literature.

THANK YOU
